The presentation attached was part of a group assessment in which business analysis students together with data science students were tasked with exploring the ethics and laws around data and privacy. The scenario given was the use of Facebook data to target certain customers based on their health and fitness data given using third party applications.
It is important to note that although the integration of data across the applications used may improve the consumer's life by allowing full view of the consumer and thus the possibility to create holistic solutions, this should always be done with full knowledge and consent of the consumer. In light of the Europen Union's adoption of the GDPR, it is imperative that other nations follow suite in order to protect the data of consumers.
